DEI in Leadership: Foundations + Health Equity

Begin your learning journey by gaining foundational knowledge in five key areas: Bias, Stereotypes & Microaggressions, Race and Anti-Racism, LGBTQ+ Identities and Culture, Ableism and Inclusion, and Allyship and Advocacy. This combination of modules provides broad-based knowledge and strategies which can be immediately applied in your workplace, your community, and during interpersonal interactions. No matter what your current role and DEI interest, beginning with a strong foundation will leave you feeling confident and empowered to focus on special topics of interest later in the course. This course also includes the DEI Special Topic of Health Equity. To overcome systemic racism and other structural inequities in healthcare, leaders must understand how social injustice affects everyone in the healthcare system; patient, caregiver, or administrator. In this set of modules, including Emotional Well-Being, DEI and Healthcare Inequities, and Ageism and Age Bias, you’ll discover how to mitigate healthcare inequities on a systemic, organizational, and individual level, helping drive change to make experiences more inclusive and equitable for everyone.
